Blues loose forward, Steven Luatua has been ruled out for the rest of the season due to a dislocated shoulder. The stand-in captain for the injured Jerome Kaino, picked up the injury during the Blues' win over the Bulls on Friday and with associated nerve damage, will not return for their final three games.

The side's injury list has grown to 13 players, including four players who are unlikely to play again this season, with Patrick Tuipulotu and Luatua joining injured captain Kaino and Luke Braid. Tuipulotu has suffered a long term hip injury that has worsened and he is unlikely to feature in the final four weeks.

Tony Woodcock has also joined the list and will be unavailable this week after he suffered a shoulder injury in a collapsed scrum against the Bulls last week, while Charlie Faumuina will take his All Blacks leave this weekend.

Meanwhile, the Blues remain hopeful Hamish Northcott (hamstring), Josh Bekhuis (concussion) and Hayden Triggs (calf), will have improved enough to make their return this weekend.
