Declan Kidney has left two spaces on the side to face Ulster in their Interprovincial opener against Ulste rin Belfast on Friday evening.

He is expected to name the players who will start outside centre and right win on Thursday, with Mike Mullins and John Kelly likely to get the nod if they can come through fitness tests.

Elsewhere the side shows three changes form the team that played in the European Cup final with Marcus Horan, Frank Sheehan and Alan Quinlan the 'newcomers'. "It's nice to know we're starting off with, by and large, the same group of guys, although you don't necessarily start off the way you finish and this season will be a different challenge," said team manager Jerry Holland when he announced the side on Tuesday..
