South African S12 coaches announced

Former Bedford director of rugby and one-time Springboks forward Rudi Straeuli has been appointed coach to South African Super 12 side the Sharks.

The executive committee also confirmed Laurie Mains will coach the Cats.

The Stormers management committee will meet on Thursday to finalise their candidates after which they will forward the names to the SARFU management committee, which will make the final appointment, possibly by Friday.

The Bulls management committee will meet with the SARFU management committee on Thursday to discuss its nominations, after which SARFU will finalise its appointment.
