All Blacks hold fire on team announcement

New Zealand coach Graham Henry has delayed naming his side to face South Africa in Wellington on Saturday as they continue to monitor a number of injuries.

The All Blacks boss had been set to unveil the side on Tuesday but will hold fire until Thursday as scrum-half Jimmy Cowan and wing Joe Rokocoko fight abdominal and hamstring strains respectively.

Centre Richard Kahui has already been ruled out of the Wellington Test and there are fears that the Chiefs midfielder could be out for the rest of the season after sustaining soft tissue damage to his shoulder last weekend. Kahui impressed as a replacement in last weekend's 32-12 rout of the Springboks in Auckland.

"At this point in time it doesn't look good," Henry said. "Richard has had two shoulder reconstructions, which were six months out of the game, and the worry is that he might need another one. But we won't know that for definite until Monday.

"He's been superb. I talked to him last night and I think he's been outstanding since he's been back in the All Blacks - both on and off the field."
