Paul O'Connell has admitted Munster's Guinness PRO12 semi-final win over the Ospreys on Saturday will probably be his final match at Thomond Park.

O'Connell's future post-World Cup is uncertain with him previously linked with a move to France with both Pau and France rumoured to be interested in his services. O'Connell, XX, has been a fine servant for Munster but he admits he will probably not play again at Thomond Park for the famous side.

When asked if it was his last match on home soil for Munster, he told Sky Sports: "It probably is. It probably is. I said before the end of the season would be the time for fully making all those decisions but yeah it's probably the last time I will play for Munster here."

O'Connell still has one more match for Munster to navigate. Next Saturday they will play in the PRO12 final against Glasgow at the Kingspan Stadium as they look to win their first piece of silverware since 2011.

"Certainly the job isn't done," O'Connell added. "We have had a poor record in semi-finals in recent years. So to have gotten over that hurdle is great. I suppose we had a really good reputation in the past at being good at knock-out rugby. But in the last eight finals we have been quite poor.

"So to get a win over the line, especially against Ospreys who are such a good side in the Pro12 and very good away from home, was great. We'll recover now and prepare for a big game against Glasgow next week."
