Penn leaves home for three months to beat Condit

BJ Penn has indicated just how seriously he is taking Carlos Condit by relocating to California for three months prior to the fight.
Penn and Condit go to war in the co-main event at UFC 137, knowing there is the potential to highlight their case for a welterweight title shot with a convincing victory. Champion Georges St-Pierre defends his belt on the same card against Nick Diaz, and having lost to the Canadian twice in the past Penn will fancy setting up the chance for revenge by beating Condit.
The UFC 137 card takes place on October 29 in Las Vegas, so Penn has left his home to acclimatise to the time difference. He will now knuckle down in order to beat an opponent who has won 12 of his last 13 fights.
"We're training down at RVCA [in Costa Mesa]," Erik Apple, Penn's training partner, told MMA Weekly. "We have BJ Penn and Reagan Penn training down there, as well as Kendall Grove.
"They're going to be preparing for August 27 (when Reagan Penn and Grove fight), and after that, BJ is going to stay here and continue to get ready for his fight with Carlos Condit in October."
Penn is currently unbeaten in his last two after beating Matt Hughes and drawing with Jon Fitch.
