Bonnar loses appeal after Soszynski stoppage at UFC 110

Stephen Bonnar's loss to Krzystztof Soszynski has been officially chalked onto both fighters' records after Bonnar lost his appeal to have the result changed to a no-contest.
Bonnar, whose MMA record now stands at 11-7, was forced to stop fighting upon doctor's advice in the third round of the pair's UFC 110 clash after suffering a bad cut to his forehead. However, replays immediately showed the cut had been sustained via an accidental clash of heads.
Nevertheless, the victory was handed to Soszynski, much to the clear disgust of Bonnar inside the Octagon. "The American Psycho" immediately appealed the result, but the outcome was not what he had hoped for.
"A review was held ... and the Combat Sports Authority of NSW did not seek to interfere with the referee's decision," Craig Waller, executive director of the combat sports authority of New South Wales, told MMAjunkie.com.
Prior to the stoppage, Bonnar and Soszynski had put on a show for their Australian crowd, trading blows in an ebb-and-flow contest. Soszynski immediately raised Bonnar's hand at the end of the fight, but it is the Pole's record that improves to 19-9-1.
Now Bonnar expects UFC president Dana White to grant him a rematch.
