Jake Ellenberger warned Georges St-Pierre and Carlos Condit that he believes he is a stylistic nightmare for both of them after he stopped Jake Shields at UFC Fight Night 25.

Shields had not been stopped in 11 years, yet Ellenberger needed just 53 seconds to force the referee to intervene in Saturday's main event. It was - to this point - the defining moment of his career, two brutal knees and a series of punches to a grounded Shields securing a huge victory.

Shields is the last man to fight UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre, who could not finish the Cesar Gracie man. Ellenberger will now consider himself worthy of his own title shot.

St-Pierre fights Condit next, a man who has beaten Ellenberger in the past. However, that result came via split decision, after Ellenberger had stepped in at late notice. He insists things would be different in a rematch.

"I think I match up well with Carlos and GSP," Ellenberger told MMA Junkie. "I've gotten a lot better since [Condit and I] fought.

"Whoever the UFC asks me, I'll fight. I'll keep working my way up until I get my title shot."

Shields had won 15 of his last 16 fights ahead of his meeting with Ellenberger, who was the undoubted underdog. Nevertheless, the 26-year-old knew he would cause the upset.

"I definitely could see myself winning this fight," Ellenberger said. "Coming into this fight, I had a lot of confidence with my training and coaches. But not that quick. It all happened so fast, but I was ready. I trained hard for this fight, and I was ready."
