Machida has 'great chance' of beating Jones - Nogueira

Antonio Rogerio Nogueira believes Lyoto Machida has what it takes to cause an upset against Jon Jones in their light-heavyweight title fight at UFC 140.

Jones cemented his status as king of the division when he conquered Rampage Jackson in September, after which Jackson said he could not envisage anyone at light-heavyweight beating Jones.

But Machida enters on the back of an impressive win, knocking out Randy Couture in the second round at UFC 129, and Nogueira is tipping his countryman to reclaim the title he lost in May 2010.

"For Lyoto it is a great chance. There's no one better than Lyoto to fight him. He's coming off a great KO. He lost the belt [to Shogun Rua], but he kept fighting with the best, so I guess he's a good challenger for Jon Jones," he told Tatame.

"He knows how to use the distance in his favour, it'll be a different game for Jon Jones. Let's get him tested. It'll be a great fight and I'm guessing it'll be a huge fight."
