UFC light-heavyweight champion Jon 'Bones' Jones is confident he's seen enough of Lyoto Machida to know how to beat him when the pair enter the Octagon at UFC 140.

Machida, a former champion in the division himself, was the subject of much discussion about his remarkable ability as he built a 16-fight unbeaten record in the sport, before falling to Mauricio 'Shogun' Rua at UFC 113 in 2010.

Since then the Brazilian suffered another defeat to Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson and Jones - who incidentally has beaten both Machida's vanquishers in 2011 - no longer sees anything to fear in Machida's game.

"We're not fighting the undefeated Lyoto Machida anymore. I've watched him lose several rounds now through studying," Jones told Fight News. "And I just happen to have two coaches that are southpaws now as well so there's a lot of knowledge in my camp about fighting guys with opposite stances.

"We feel comfortable, we feel as if there's been some blueprints laid out. Obviously, we will come up with our own blueprint, and take from what we've seen and make it an even greater defeat.

"We're excited. We're up for the challenge."
