Injured MacDonald pulls out of UFC 140

Rory MacDonald has been forced to pull out of his welterweight clash against Brian Ebersole at UFC 140 with an injury.

Details of the highly-rated Canadian's injury are yet to be revealed, but his compatriot Claude Patrick has stepped up to fight Ebersole.

Patrick, who has a perfect 3-0 record in the Octagon and is unbeaten in all MMA competitions since 2002, was originally on the undercard to fight Rich Attonito.

The event at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto is headlined by Jon Jones' second light-heavyweight title defence against Lyoto Machida, but also features a heavyweight rematch between Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira and Frank Mir.
