ESPN launches Christmas countdown of top UFC events

The UFC and ESPN UK have combined to bring you the ultimate Christmas gift for 2011, delivering blockbuster UFC events - old and new - on 24 out of 31 days in December.

The month will be marked by two live events on ESPN, with UFC 140 set for December 10. Headlining the card is Jon Jones' light-heavyweight title defence against Lyoto Machida, which will then be repeated on December 11.

Then comes UFC 141 at the end of the month, featuring Brock Lesnar's return to the Octagon against Strikeforce heavyweight king Alistair Overeem. The event takes place on December 30 and is repeated on December 31.

In addition to those two live events, ESPN will be counting down the 21 most outstanding cards to have taken place since UFC 101. The No. 1 card will be shown on Thursday December 29, 24 hours before Lesnar battles Overeem.
