Munoz 'would love' to become future TUF coach

Middleweight force Mark Munoz has admitted he would jump at the chance to become a future coach on The Ultimate Fighter.

The UFC is set to completely revamp the reality series, which has traditionally seen a group of fighters live in the same house, before competing in a number of knockout rounds to determine The Ultimate Fighter - winner of a $100,000 cheque. Crucial to the show has been the two rival coaches, who usually end up fighting in the Finale.

However, changes have been made to the TUF format, most notably making each fight live rather than pre-recorded. Coaches will also train for their own fight whilst coaching their team, heightening potential rivalries with their opposite number.

Urijah Faber recently put his name forward as coach for the TUF 15 series, potentially against Dominick Cruz, whom he will face for the bantamweight title.

However, another route for the UFC to employ is that of Chael Sonnen, who has long been linked to coaching roles against Michael Bisping and Anderson Silva. Recently the media-friendly Munoz has entered that mix, having improved his recent record to 4-0 with a win over Chris Leben, and Munoz told ESPN he would need no second invitation.

"I would love to be a TUF coach. I actually coached before I even got into mixed martial arts," Munoz told ESPN.

"I was a division one wrestling coach in college for almost 10 years. I feel like I'm a better coach than I am a fighter.

"I would love, love to be an Ultimate Fighter coach."
