UFC light-heavyweight legend Tito Ortiz says he will return in July for his final fight before retirement.

Ortiz, 36, lost to Antonio Rogerio Nogueira during December at UFC 140 and, after remaining coy on his future immediately after the bout, has decided to have one last battle.

No opponent has yet been set, but he has proposed the names of Chuck Liddell and Forrest Griffin. "Hopefully the July 4 weekend I'll be fighting my last fight and I'll be done, that's it - time to walk away," Ortiz said to middleeasy.com.

"Forrest [is possible], I know everybody would love to see me against Chuck - we'll see what [UFC president] Dana [White] has to offer. Let's make my last fight a memorable one."

Ortiz has won just one - against Ryan Bader in July 2011 - of his last eight UFC contests.
