The UFC has confirmed that Brian Stann's next fight will take place in Sweden, against Alessio Sakara.

April 14 was announced as the date of the event on Wednesday, with Stockholm's Globe Arena confirmed as the venue. Tickets will go on sale in the near future.

A welterweight battle between John Maguire and DaMarques Johnson has already been lined up for a main card slot, while Papy Abedi v James Head is set for one of the preliminary bouts. Alexander Gustafsson is also expected to feature.

The UFC has now released details of more fights on the card, with Stann v Sakara a notable main card battle in the middleweight division.

Stann needs to bounce back quickly after being dominated by Chael Sonnen in his last outing. Sakara, meanwhile, is looking for a fourth win in five bouts - having suffered a decision loss to Chris Weidman last time out.

Other bouts expected on the card will see Besam Yousef take on Simeon Thoresen in the welterweight division, Magnus Cedenblad meet Francis Carmont at middleweight, and Jorgen Kruth square off with Cyrille Diabate at light-heavyweight.
