St-Pierre planning November comeback fight

Georges St-Pierre has pleaded with the UFC to save a spot for him on one of its end-of-year cards, revealing he plans to return in November.
The reigning welterweight champion has been struck down by a torn ACL and has been forced to undergo surgery. An initial recovery period was forecast in the region of six-to-10 months.
Arguably the most significant part of St-Pierre's recovery will be when he actually returns to training, which he will have to do extremely carefully. As one of the sport's most explosive athletes, the Canadian must ensure he takes all the appropriate precautions to prevent a recurrence.
St-Pierre is desperate to ensure he defends his belt at least once in 2012, saying on Inside MMA: "I hope so. Please give it to me.
"Hard training will be in July, and fighting again for the timing to get back I would say in November, I can come back in November," St-Pierre stated.
In his absence, an interim title will be contested by Nick Diaz and Carlos Condit at UFC 143. The winner could provide St-Pierre's comeback opponent.
