The UFC has announced another eye-catching lightweight battle, pairing Edson Barboza and Evan Dunham at UFC 146 in May.

Barboza is one of the fighters to watch at 155lbs after his Knockout of the Year contender against Terry Etim, whom he stopped with a spinning heel kick. That victory lifted the Brazilian's record to 10-0.

If there is a question to be answered by Barboza it is his floor skills, which were only partially tested by Etim. The Brit managed to get his rival down on several occasions, but he could not keep it there in order to look for a submission.

Enter Evan Dunham. By no means an out-and-out wrestler, Dunham nevertheless has excellent submissions skills - tapping out five of his first seven opponents and more recently snapping an armbar on Efrain Escudero. Should Barboza resist, it will add further weight to the argument that he is a lightweight title contender.

The bout bolsters the UFC 146 card in Las Vegas, headlined by Junior Dos Santos v Alistair Overeem. A middleweight bout between Jason Miller and CB Dollaway also appears on the card.
