Hardy to face Ludwig at UFC 146

British fighter Dan Hardy will return to the Octagon to face Duane Ludwig at UFC 146.

The UFC confirmed on Wednesday that verbal agreements are in place for the welterweight contest, which will take place in Las Vegas on May 26 as part of the undercard to Junior dos Santos' heavyweight title defence against Alistair Overeem.

Hardy, 29, fought for the welterweight title in 2010, but has since embarked on a four-fight losing streak. He most recently lost to Chris Lytle in August 2011, a defeat that caused Hardy to take time away from the sport to rest and recuperate.

Ludwig is also coming off a defeat, after being choked out by Josh Neer during his most recent fight in January.
