Cheick Kongo v Rodrigo Nogueira slated for UFC 149

UFC 149 is already beginning to take shape with heavyweights Cheick Kongo and Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira set to square off in Calgary, Canada.

UFC president Dana White hinted on Tuesday that Jon Jones' next light-heavyweight title defence against Dan Henderson has been pencilled in for that card. Now it has a heavyweight encounter to support it.

Nogueira has not competed since having his arm broken by Frank Mir. Prior to that, the Brazilian had knocked out Brendan Schaub.

Kongo is also coming off a loss after he was stopped by Mark Hunt. The Frenchman's previous outing had seen him decision Matt Mitrione.
