There will be thre men from Team Cruz and five from Team Faber in the quarter-finals of TUF 15 after England's Andy Ogle scored a superb win over Mike Rio to complete the last-eight line-up on Friday.

Ogle made much the better start for Team Faber, catching Rio consistently with his boxing throughout the first two-and-a-half minutes. However, it was the Brit's ground game that eventually made the telling difference, as he spun out of a bad position to secure a rear naked choke at 4.19 of the second round.

Rio, who has been dealing with a knee injury throughout the show, lacked explosiveness as Ogle stayed out of range, landing heavy combinations and mixing up his punches superbly.

The first time Rio shot for the takedown he landed spectacularly, but Ogle was quickly back to his feet and clearly won the opening stanza. "He beat me to the punch, literally," Rio confessed after the fight.

Rio came out more aggressive in the second, wading forward with punches, and he found another takedown before securing a body lock that allowed him to land some serious left hands. Eventually he took Ogle's back, but just as the rear naked choke seemed inevitable Ogle spun out to turn the tide on his rival.

It was time for Ogle to maintain the pressure, landing several right hands as he flattened Rio out, locking on the rear naked choke for an outstanding victory before running out of the Octagon to celebrate with Ross Pearson.

"I knew that if I could stop Mike taking me down, I'd be a happy man," Ogle said. "Mike's the nicest guy on their team, so even if I'd lost, I'd have lost to a good man."

Quarter-final line-up:

Justin Lawrence v Michael Chiesa
