Michael Bisping has admitted he would be disappointed if Hector Lombard secured a shot at the UFC middleweight title before him.

Bisping is one of the top fighters in the middleweight division, having built his reputation with wins over Dan Miller, Yoshihiro Akiyama, Jorge Rivera and Jason Miller before losing a tight contest to Chael Sonnen.

He is slated to take on Tim Boetsch at UFC 149 and has his eye on a crack at middleweight king Anderson Silva. But there is talk that Lombard, who has signed to UFC and will make his debut against Brian Stann, is being primed for a shot at Silva.

"(Lombard getting a title shot with a win over Stann) does piss me off a little bit, you know," Bisping told MMADieHards. "I've been slugging away in the UFC for six years now, fighting the best guys in the world, and just because Hector Lombard's been knocking out part-time fighters who probably hold down jobs full-time and he's been knocking out people that I haven't got a clue who they are, I haven't even heard of them, you know, while I've been knocking out the best fighters in the world...

"I think I'm still in the mix up there. I definitely haven't gone down. I definitely think I'm one of the top few. I think I could give Anderson a good fight."
