Chad Mendes will get the chance to bounce back from defeat to Jose Aldo by welcoming Cody McKenzie to the featherweight division at UFC 148.

Mendes fights for the first time since his 145lb title shot against Aldo, when he suffered a first-round knockout. Still relatively young in his MMA career, he will look to take the lesson of that loss and improve, starting with McKenzie.

McKenzie drops down from lightweight to make his featherweight debut in the UFC, and he will hope to add a 12th victim to his guillotine casualty list at UFC 148. Of his 13 career wins, 11 have came via the guillotine, and he'll look to breathe new life into his career by dropping divisions.

UFC 148 is headlined by Anderson Silva's middleweight title defence against Chael Sonnen. Urijah Faber will also fight Renan Barao on the same card.
