Antonio Silva plans to submit Cain Velasquez

Antonio Silva insists nobody should judge him on his last fight as he prepares to enter the UFC this weekend.

Silva fights one of the top heavyweights in the world when he meets Cain Velasquez at UFC 146 on Saturday. The Brazilian will enter as a clear underdog, due in part to his last outing.

Having beaten Fedor Emelianenko, Silva then fought Daniel Cormier in a bout that saw him knocked out. The defeat was so emphatic that any of the good work done against Emelianenko was instantly lost.

However, Silva claims his heart was not in that last fight, something his wife later pointed out to him when she revealed she knew he would not win.

"I like it when I'm not a favourite," Silva told MMA Junkie. "I'm so relaxed. Now I'm in the same situation as the Fedor fight.

"I was so sad [after the Cormier fight]. I fought only because of the money. I didn't want to fight, and I lost very fast.

"[Velasquez] is a big opportunity for my personal life and for my professional life. I will win this fight."
