Dana White has poured cold water on the prospect of Stephan Bonnar and Forrest Griffin being rival coaches on the next season of TUF Live, insisting "it's not going to happen".

Bonnar is keen to link up with his two-time opponent in the 16th season of the show, saying that his rivalry with Griffin would prove an intriguing sub-plot.

He recently told MMAjunkie.com Radio: "If we got to be coaches, I would be so thankful. Just bringing the whole thing full circle to FOX, I would really be honoured."

However, the light-heavyweight veteran looks unlikely to have his wish granted after White played down the chance of both men appearing on the upcoming season, which will be dubbed "The Ultimate Fighter: Live 2".

He said: "We usually bring in guys that are champions. Stephan and Forrest, believe me, you guys know I love Stephan and Forrest. We celebrate Stephan and Forrest every day. But it's not going to happen. I know that's what he [Bonnar] wants. No. Sorry, Stephan."

In one of the most famous fights ever to have taken place on the show, Griffin beat Bonnar by unanimous decision and prevailed once again in the rematch more than a year later.
