Bisping open to UK coaching role on TUF Smashes

Michael Bisping is not ruling out a third coaching stint on The Ultimate Fighter (TUF), although he admits the UFC might do that for him.
Bisping, speaking to ESPN from this weekend's SENI 2012 exhibition at London's ExCeL centre, confessed he had not heard from the UFC regarding the position of UK coach against Australia in the forthcoming Smashes series.
A product of TUF, Bisping is a former winner of the show as well as a two-time coach opposite Dan Henderson and Jason Miller. He is the most qualified candidate to lead the UK team in the Smashes, but is expected to be overlooked on this occasion - perhaps in favour of Ross Pearson.
Currently preparing for a UFC 149 battle with Tim Boetsch, which he hopes will move him closer to a middleweight title shot, Bisping admits he would not be closed to the option of once again putting those title plans on hold if asked.
"I never say never, but the UFC hasn't said anything to me, so maybe they're saying never!" the Brit quipped to ESPN. "I think maybe I've been rammed down people's necks enough.
"But I'd certainly give it consideration. I'm a product of the Ultimate Fighter so I'm always open to it, and I'd like to be involved because of the UK v Australia thing - which is a really good concept. But I haven't been asked yet!"
Bisping is in attendance at the widely respected SENI 2012 exhibition this weekend, a cutting edge MMA expo that showcases the latest developments and products to compliment the lifestyle of a mixed martial artist.
SENI features six interactive entertainment zones including the MMA Weekender and Boxfair and brings together everything from the world of combat and strength sports. Whether you like MMA, World's Strongest Man, boxing, taekwondo, K1, fencing or even arm wrestling you'll find it at SENI.
