Cain Velasquez's coach has allayed fears that his heavyweight title fight with Junior Dos Santos will need to be delayed by injury, insisting Velasquez should be fit for UFC 152.

UFC president Dana White expects Dos Santos v Velasquez to headline the UFC 152 event in Toronto. Also on the card will be BJ Penn v Rory MacDonald.

Doubts emerged over the health of Velasquez when it was claimed by Dos Santos' jiu-jitsu coach Yuri Carlton that Velasquez had broken his hand. It was predicted by Carlton that the fight might have to be delayed until December.

However, it seems Carlton simply became misled by the UFC medical suspensions list, which stated that Velasquez could be suspended for six months if scans showed a broken hand. Those scans have not returned such a verdict.

"We're looking at September 22 as fight day," Javier Mendez, Velasquez's head coach, said.
