Rousimar Palhares - he of the crippling heel hooks - has stepped in for Luiz Cane to make an intriguing middleweight battle with Yushin Okami at UFC 150.

Cane and Okami had been set for the August 11 card, on which Cane was ready to debut at 185lbs. However, injury has struck the Brazilian - opening the door for his compatriot to step in.

Palhares had won three consecutive bouts before he was stopped by Alan Belcher in an excellent one-round ground war in his most recent outing. Okami offers an instant opportunity to get back in the title mix.

Also on the UFC 150 card, Justin Lawrence will get another chance to add to his fan base when he takes on Max Holloway. Lawrence was the favourite to win TUF 15 but was shocked in the quarter-finals. However, his first official fight in the UFC saw him deliver a stunning head kick knockout against John Cofer.

UFC 150 is headlined by the lightweight title rematch between Ben Henderson and Frankie Edgar. Jake Shields also appears on the card.
