Dana White exclusive interview

UFC president Dana White is convinced he could persuade Rory MacDonald to fight Georges St-Pierre "tomorrow", if the situation arose.

MacDonald is billed as the future of the UFC welterweight division, dubbed by many as "the new GSP". Training with the 170lb champion, it has even been suggested that MacDonald may prove to be better.

Due to that connection as training partners, MacDonald has stated he will never fight his friend and icon. It is a feeling that has been reciprocated by St-Pierre.

However, when talking about the money the UFC pays its stars, White claimed he could convince MacDonald into a U-turn merely by showing him how much money St-Pierre makes.

"Rory MacDonald, people are calling him the new GSP. Even GSP is calling him that," White told ESPN's MMA Live.

"He's saying, 'I'd never fight Georges St-Pierre'.

"I say, 'Really? Let him take a look at Georges St-Pierre's bank account.' He'll fight him tomorrow."
