The Korean Zombie, Chan Sung Jung, believes he has leapfrogged Erik Koch in the queue for a crack at UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo.

Aldo was supposed to fight Koch at UFC 149, but injury forced the champion to withdraw. The UFC insists the fight has only been postponed, not cancelled, but the Zombie is less convinced.

Following his outstanding victory over Dustin Poirier, momentum is with the fan favourite. A Zombie v Aldo fight would be much bigger than a Koch v Aldo encounter, and Jung insists he would leap at the chance of a title shot.

"You never know when you're going to get that opportunity, so I'd like to jump in there as soon as possible," Jung told MMA Junkie Radio.

"I'd like to hurry up and get my shot at the title. [I'd fight] anybody. If it's not Aldo, anybody. But I want to fight Aldo."
