Bisping continues row with 'munchkin' Faber
A light-hearted Michael Bisping has escalated his ongoing "war of words" with Urijah Faber after the Team Alpha Male fighter poked fun at the Brit.
Bisping is preparing for a crucial middleweight fight against Brian Stann at UFC 152 this weekend, but took time out to mock Faber and another fighter on the card, Joseph Benavidez.
Benavidez and Bisping have traded barbs ever since the Brit suggested his fight should headline UFC 152, rather than Benavidez's flyweight battle with Demetrious Johnson.
Jon Jones' light-heavyweight title defence against Vitor Belfort was subsequently added to the top of the card to render Bisping's claim meaningless, but 'The Count' was left to react once again after Benavidez and Faber claimed recently that they could hit harder than the Brit.
"They tweet out this video, and Urijah Faber - or 'Urijah Favour' as I call him, because I mean, really, how many title shots can one guy get? - says to them, 'Look at this, that's Bisping on [video]. Do you think you can hit harder than Bisping?' Joseph Benavidez says, 'Yeah, I definitely hit harder than Bisping.'
"I mean, he's the size of my leg. If you're going to talk **** about me and the UFC is going to tweet it out, I'm going to address that. UFC has 776,000 followers, which I know because I looked it up. So I put: 'Listen, Urijah Favour, Joseph Benavidez, and the rest of the munchkin crew, don't talk **** just because you're stuck in the bodies of pre-pubescent boys.'"
Bisping revealed that Faber had been surprised by his reaction to their message, indicating that there were unlikely to be many pleasantries exchanged with Team Alpha Male backstage at UFC 152.
"Urijah said, 'Mike, I thought we were friends, you can give it but you can't take it,'" Bisping revealed. "I said, 'What do you mean? You've been giving it, you said he can hit harder than me, which we all know you can't.'"
