Stipe Miocic, John Maguire and Paul Sass all confessed they experienced the worst night of their career at UFC Nottingham, where Stefan Struve emerged victorious in the main event while Dan Hardy proved the star of the show.

Miocic was stopped in the night's headline fight, falling to a second-round TKO against Struve. It was the Croatian-American's first professional loss and left him questioning his future in the UFC.

"I feel like crap, I lost…where do I go from here?" Miocic asked. "Back to the drawing board, I'm going to get better."

Paul Sass also suffered his first career defeat, after losing a grappling battle to Matt Wiman. Sass was beaten at his own game as Wiman locked on a first-round armbar, having spent the majority of the fight defending Sass' advances.

"I'm just devastated, I thought I was stronger the whole way through. I just got caught," Sass said.

The biggest disappointment of the night proved to be the fight between John Hathaway and John Maguire, which finished in a dull decision win for Hathaway. President Dana White said he was disgusted with the bout, and Maguire made little defence of his efforts.

"So frustrated, I didn't execute my gameplan, honestly… it is the worst I've ever felt," Maguire said.

Hathaway added: "He didn't really engage too much, I feel bit bad for the fans that they didn't get to enjoy a brawl but we did fight hard and I was glad to come away with the win."
