Anderson Silva: Bonnar won't stop my winning run

Anderson Silva does not believe Stephan Bonnar will ruin his UFC legacy by defeating him at UFC 153 this weekend.

Silva is the most gifted mixed martial artist the UFC has ever seen, currently riding a 15-fight win streak inside the Octagon. He has never been beaten, and on Saturday he steps above his natural weight class to fight Bonnar - a man never knocked out.

The risks are there for both men: Bonnar has seen plenty of his peers - including Forrest Griffin - utterly embarrassed by Silva, while Silva knows defeat to Bonnar would represent arguably the biggest shock in the sport's history.

The Brazilian holds all sorts of UFC records, including the longest reigning champion, the most successful title defences, and most post-fight bonuses earned. A lot of that would be undone by a loss to Bonnar - the bigger and stronger man - but Silva is not concerned.

"I believe I have more agility, more speed at this weight (205lbs)," Silva said. "I don't know about the power, but I do believe I am more agile.

"I hope to continue my win streak and I can finish my career undefeated in the UFC."

Victory would be Silva's 16th in the UFC and would be another step towards a potential super-fight with welterweight king Georges St-Pierre, who fights Carlos Condit on November 17.
