Matt Riddle's memorable Submission of the Night victory over Chris Clements has been made a no-contest, the Calgary Combative Sport Commission revealed on Saturday.

Riddle picked up a $65,000 bonus cheque for his third-round arm-triangle choke against Clements, but later tested positive for a banned substance. Francisco Rivera, who beat Roland Delorme by TKO, also failed his drug test.

Riddle tested positive for marijuana, while Rivera was found guilty of using an over-the-counter stimulant. Both men received 90-day bans, which retroactively expired on Friday.

The bigger blow - particularly in the case of Riddle - may well be the financial cost of the no-contest. The UFC is yet to reveal if he will have to return any percentage of his victory purse.

"It was the Commission's decision to amend the results of both bouts these individuals participated in to no-contest because of the positive test results and those amendments have been filed accordingly," the commission said in a statement released to MMAjunkie.com.

Neither fighter appealed the verdict.
