The Ultimate Fighter 16 Finale: Nelson v Mitrione will take place at Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, December 15, 2012.

The event is headlined by a heavyweight bout between Roy Nelson and Matt Mitrione. Shane Carwin was supposed to fight Nelson, but was replaced by Mitrione after he injured his knee. Also on the card, the welterweight series winner will be decided, as well as a lightweight fight between Melvin Guillard and Jamie Varner.
