Vaughan Lee plays down Faber fight

Vaughan Lee says he has signed nothing official regarding a potential fight with Urijah Faber.

Trusted MMA news sit Tatame had reported the bout for UFC 156, linking English bantamweight Lee with former WEC king Faber.

The news came as a shock, given that Lee's last outing saw him beaten by Faber's team-mate TJ Dillashaw. And now Lee has confessed he knows little of the rumoured encounter.

"It's a rumour, I haven't heard anything from the UFC confirming it, so yeah it's just a nice rumour that's got me a lot of followers on Twitter," Lee told Fighters Only.

"I heard about me fighting Faber over Twitter, people we're like, 'You're fighting Faber' and all this, and I was like 'Am I? Oh cool'.

"It's just a rumour, we haven't heard anything."
