Chiesa ruled out of UFC on Fox 5 fight

This weekend's UFC on Fox 5 event has suffered another setback with news that Michael Chiesa will not be fit for Saturday's card.

Chiesa, the TUF 15 winner, was set to step into the Octagon against Marcus Levesseur in Seattle, but a bout of illness has sidelined the 24-year-old. The UFC is yet to confirm whether Levesseur will get a new opponent.

The withdrawal of Chiesa comes days after Lavar Johnson had to pull out of his bout against Brendan Schaub due to a groin problem. That fight has been totally scratched.

UFC on Fox 5 is headlined by a lightweight title battle between Benson Henderson and Nate Diaz. Also on the card, Alexander Gustafsson fights Mauricio Shogun Rua, and BJ Penn returns against Rory MacDonald.
