White hints at no Ireland return in 2013
UFC president Dana White has suggested that the promotion is unlikely to return to Ireland in 2013.
In an interview with MMA Fighting, White was asked about potential international events including a return to Dublin, which last hosted an event in January 2009.
White has been bombarded with tweets by Irish fans desperate to have MMA's biggest organisation back in the country.
The UFC is returning to the UK with a stacked card at Wembley Arena on February 16 with the UFC president visiting Ireland as part of his stay.
"I'm receiving an award at Trinity College," White said. "When I go over there I'm going to tweet (the fans) so they can come and kick my arse. The fans have been terrorising me to bring an event, I'll buy you all a drink in a pub to apologise."
When asked if the fans would be getting an event in 2013, White laughed it off saying: "I'll have to get you two drinks"
