UFC heavyweight challenger Cain Velasquez has weighed in considerably lighter for his rematch against champion Junior dos Santos at UFC 155.

Velasquez, looking to gain revenge for a first-round knockout defeat to Dos Santos back in November 2011, weighed in comfortably under the 265-pound weight limit at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on Friday - recording a weight of 240, a full nine pounds less than prior to his last defeat.

Dos Santos, meanwhile, tipped the scales at 239lbs - the same as for his victory in the pair's previous meeting.

All 24 fighters on the Las Vegas card for Saturday's event made weight with few problems.
