Paul Daley has refused to confirm increasing speculation that he will coach on series 12 of The Ultimate Fighter if he beats Josh Koscheck.

Daley fights Koscheck on the co-main event of UFC 113, which takes place on May 8. The event is headlined by the UFC light-heavyweight title bout between Lyoto Machida and Mauricio Shogun Rua.

Koscheck and Daley are widely considered to be fighting for the status of No. 1 contender in the welterweight division, after Dan Hardy was beaten by Georges St-Pierre at UFC 111.

However, even more significance has been attached to the bout in recent weeks, after rumours grew over the possibility of Daley or Koscheck becoming the rival coach to St-Pierre on The Ultimate Fighter reality series.

ESPN.co.uk put the rumour to Daley and, while he did not confirm the suggestion, he did little to douse the flames either.

"We'll get the Koscheck fight out the way and then we'll see," came Daley's reply. "Every fight I go into, I go in with the title in mind. I'd love to be champion of the UFC."
