The UFC has swelled the April 6 card in Sweden by adding three bouts, including Ross Pearson v Ryan Couture.

The UFC confirmed the trio of new fights on Saturday morning, with Matt Mitrione v Phil De Fries and Ryan LaFlare v Ben Alloway also included on the Stockholm card.

Pearson's lightweight clash with Couture is the undoubted eye-catcher, with the American set to become the first man to follow his father into the UFC.

Son of legendary former two-weight champion Randy, Couture has won his last four fights and boasts the same gritty ability to grind out victories. Pearson, meanwhile, is coming off a fine win over George Sotiropoulos.

De Fries and Mitrione had initially been scheduled for UFC 155 only for the bout to be cancelled, but the heavyweights will try again at the Ericsson Globe Arena.

UFC Sweden is headlined by a light-heavyweight battle between Alexander Gustafsson and Gegard Mousasi.
