A UFC heavyweight matchup between Gabriel Gonzaga and Travis Browne has been added to The Ultimate Fighter Finale on April 13 in Las Vegas. UFC president Dana White announced the pairing via Twitter on Monday.

Gonzaga, 33, has surged back onto the mixed martial arts scene following a brief retirement in 2010. The Brazilian heavyweight was cut from the UFC that year following back-to-back losses to Junior dos Santos and Brendan Schaub.

Since rejoining the UFC last year, Gonzaga (14-6) has cruised to submission victories over Ednaldo Oliveira and Ben Rothwell. He will carry a three-fight win streak into the April contest. Browne (13-1-1), meanwhile, will look to bounce back from his first professional loss.

Headlining a UFC card for the first time in October, Browne suffered an early knee injury and was eventually knocked out in the first round by Antonio Silva.

The Albuquerque-based fighter holds a UFC record of 4-1-1, including first-round finishes over James McSweeney, Stefan Struve and Chad Griggs.

The Ultimate Fighter Finale will take place at The Hard Rock Hotel and Casino.
