Bantamweight Urijah Faber admits he is looking beyond his TUF 17 Finale fight with Scott Jorgensen and is eyeing a future bout with Frankie Edgar.

Faber defeated Ivan Menjivar by submission with a rear-naked choke at UFC 157 last Saturday and now has six weeks to prepare for his hastily-arranged fight with Jorgensen on April 13.

In his last 24 professional MMA bouts, Faber has only lost five times and all of those were against big names such as Jose Aldo and Renan Barao.

With an impressive record behind him the 33-year-old feels he has more leverage to command bigger fights and wants to get in the octagon with seven-time UFC headliner Edgar.

"I wouldn't mind taking a fight at 145 [lbs - Edgar's featherweight category]," Faber told Sherdog Radio Network. "It would have to be the right fight. I've said this for a long time: I want to do the fights that are big, that people care about.

"[Frankie Edgar] sounds like a huge fight to me. Frankie, as far as I'm concerned, if he gets the nod on Benson Henderson, is one of the top pound-for-pound fighters in the world.

"Then he goes in against who I in my true heart feel is the best fighter pound-for-pound in the world in Jose Aldo and has a great fight with him. It's really a fight with a couple of the best pound-for-pound guys."
