Bisping to fight until he's 42 despite TV deal

Michael Bisping has ruled out the possibility of him retiring, claiming he plans to fight for another eight years.

The 34-year-old penned a television deal with Fuel TV that will see him act as a pundit on UFC fight shows, but despite the deal the middleweight revealed he has no intentions of calling it a day, insisting he has at least another eight years in front of him.

"Absolutely not," was the Briton's response when asked whether his career would be coming to an end.

Speaking on Bloody Elbow, he said: "This does not mean any interference with my fighting career. I've still got a lot of time left in me. I just turned 34 last week, and I see myself going for another eight years, until I'm 42.

"I've got a decent head on my shoulders and I'm comfortable in front of a camera, so this is a good fit for me, and I guess, in a sense, it will help set me up for my post fight career, but first and foremost, I'm a fighter, and that will always come first."

Bisping was last in action in January where he suffered a loss to Vitor Belfort in Brazil.
