Hamill v Jardine confirmed as TUF 11 Finale headliner

The UFC has confirmed Matt Hamill v Keith Jardine as its headline bout for the live finale of "The Ultimate Fighter: Team Liddell vs Team Ortiz" on June 19.
As two former TUF contestants themselves, Hamill and Jardine are currently both desperate for a win that would propel them back in the right direction in the UFC's light-heavyweight division. Hamill technically won his most recent outing against Jon Jones, but victory only came via disqualification with Hamill already a beaten man. Meanwhile, Jardine is riding a three-fight losing streak after being knocked out by Ryan Bader.
Both men always come to fight, Hamill with his powerful wrestling and heavy hands, Jardine with his awkward angles and in-and-out striking offence, which promises to make for an intriguing collision at The Pearl at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas.
"Matt is a good fighter and a good guy but this match is the first step in getting me back on top," said Jardine. "I got my start fighting on The Ultimate Fighter and I had one of my most memorable fights on the Finale. I got a lot fans from that fight and I'm honoured to be fighting in the main event."
"For me to get to the next level in my career, I have to beat Keith on June 19th and I'm going to do everything in my power to do that," commented Hamill.
Three more fights have been confirmed for the event, with Chris Leben slated to fight Aaron Simpson, Spencer Fisher lined up for a potential Fight of the Night with Dennis Siver, and James McSweeney paired up opposite Travis Browne.
Further bouts will be announced shortly.
