Pickett eyes Boston card, or TUF show with Faber

Brad Pickett has revealed he hopes to secure a place on the August 17 Boston card for his next fight, but he also singled out Urijah Faber as a man against whom he would like to coach on a future series of The Ultimate Fighter.

Pickett lived up to his reputation as one of the UFC's most talented and entertaining fighters in Stockholm, beating Mike Easton in a three-round bantamweight war that won Fight of the Night honours.

After the bout, the Brit was asked who he would like to fight next and he mentioned the name of Michael McDonald - who is coming off a loss to interim champion Renan Barao.

"I've always thought he'd be a good fight, nothing personal. I just want to fight somebody above me," Pickett told ESPN. "I actually don't think it'll happen because he's coming off a loss and the UFC tends to match somebody coming off a loss with an opponent in the same boat."

Pickett wants his next opponent to come from the division's top 10, but he has already fought Barao, Eddie Wineland, Easton, Scott Jorgensen and Ivan Menjivar. As a result, Pickett admits a Faber TUF rivalry would be his top pick for his next assignment.

"I'd like to fight Urijah, but Scott Jorgensen is not an easy fight," he said. "Fighting Urijah would be awesome.

"If I fought Urijah, what I'd like to do is make it a TUF show. I'd think we'd be good coaches, it'd be good TV and it'd be a chance to showcase my coaching skills."

Another name to interest Pickett is Brian Bowles, although he is already booked to meet George Roop at UFC 160.

"I'm looking to fight maybe in August, I'm hoping maybe to get on the Boston card," Pickett said.

"I've fought five of the top-ten, the others are booked up. Brian Bowles would be a good fight, but he's fighting George Roop so it would depend on the outcome of that."
