Rousey: Chop Fox's pecker off but she's still got man bones

Ronda Rousey has stated her position on transgender women's fighter Fallon Fox, insisting it is unfair that she competes with other female mixed martial artists.

Fox has become a figure of controversy in the MMA community, having lived much of her life as a man before having gender reassignment surgery.

She is now competing in women's MMA, winning her first two bouts inside two minutes. UFC heavyweight Matt Mitrione was recently suspended by the organisation for his forthright views on Fox, while others have also expressed doubt over whether she should compete against other women.

Inaugural women's UFC bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey has become the latest to speak of Fox, insisting she benefits from the natural bone structure that comes from being born as a man.

"She can try hormones, chop her pecker off, but it's still the same bone structure a man has," Rousey told The Post. "It's an advantage. I don't think it's fair.

"I understand the UFC doesn't want to be associated with views like [Mitrione's]. I'm also glad they didn't straight cut him.

"It's not something that happened to her. It was a decision she made. She should be aware in her career after that, it's going to be an arduous path. I don't know why she's surprised by that. It's going to draw a lot of emotions.

"What if she became UFC champion and we had a transgender women's champion?" Rousey said. "It's a very socially difficult situation."

Rousey says she would prefer not to fight Fox, although that is not an immediate prospect on the horizon. The champ is currently awaiting the winner of Miesha Tate and Cat Zingano, who fight this weekend.
