UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva has a 10-fight deal in place, according to president Dana White.

Following much speculation, White confirmed at a fan Q&A the 38-year-old will have ten more fights on top of the two he has remaining as part of his current contract.

"I have not talked to Anderson in about a month. But as far as I know, it is done. We have a done deal on a new deal. It is a 10-fight deal," White said.

Silva takes on Chris Weidman at UFC 162 in July and is gunning for an 11th defence of his title. There have been talks of potential bouts with light-heavyweight and welterweight champions Jon Jones and Georges St-Pierre respectively, but there have been no developments.

However, White wants Silva to face Jones at some point in the future, provided Silva wins in July and Jones overcomes Chael Sonnen on Saturday at UFC 159.

"If he [Jon Jones] wins and Anderson Silva wins, I really want to see Anderson Silva versus Jon Jones," White said.
