Chael Sonnen has scoffed at talk of retirement and is eyeing a fight with Wanderlei Silva.

Sonnen was comprehensively beaten by Jon Jones at UFC 159, despite the light-heavyweight champion breaking a toe in their fight.

There were calls for Sonnen to retire, while others have suggested he should drop back down to middleweight - but he sees his future at 205lbs and wants to settle old scores with his regular verbal sparring partner Silva.

"I will definitely continue, and at 205 pounds," Sonnen told UFC Tonight. "Unless they come up with a catchweight.

"I have a lot of goals I want to achieve still, and retirement won't help me get them done."

Asked about his next move, Sonnen talked about a fight with Vitor Belfort but made it clear he wants to get in the Octagon with Silva

"I'm not going anywhere until me and Wanderlei straighten this thing out once and for all," Sonnen said.
