Conor McGregor, one of the most promising new talents in the UFC right now, has been called out by Akira Corassani for a potential fight in Boston on August 17.

McGregor grabbed headlines with his UFC debut win over Marcus Brimage in Sweden, after which president Dana White hinted the featherweight's next outing could come in Boston.

No fight has yet been confirmed for McGregor, but Corassani has officially put his name forward to challenge him. The 30-year-old is coming off back-to-back wins over Andy Ogle and Robbie Peralta.

"My name is Akira Corassani and today I have a proposition. In my hand I have a contract. Conor McGregor I challenge you to fight me August 17," he said in a self-made video.

"We all know my love for the [TD] Garden, but with that said, let's go ahead and sign this contract just to let the people know I'm for real."

Corassani proceeded to sign the unofficial document, lifting it to the camera to confirm his interest in meeting McGregor on what is expected to be a mega card in Boston.

"I give you 48 hours to accept my challenge, I can be reached by Twitter," he said. "I respect you, I respect your team, and I respect the Republic of Ireland. But it's time to do this. Conor, meet me at the Garden."

McGregor is yet to reply publically.
