Women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey will defend her title on December 28 at UFC 168 against Miesha Tate in Las Vegas.

It will be the second fight between the two. In their first meeting, on March 3, 2012, Rousey submitted Tate in the first round to claim the Strikeforce title.

Rousey (7-0) makes her second official defence of the UFC belt. In her Octagon debut, Rousey submitted Liz Carmouche in the first round at UFC 157 on February 23.

She has submitted all of her opponents in the first round via armbar.

Tate replaced Cat Zingano, who was forced to withdraw from UFC 168 due to a knee injury, in May. In her most recent fight, on April 13, Tate was knocked out in the fourth round by Zingano.

White also said the highly anticipated rubber match between heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez and former titleholder Junior dos Santos will take place on October 19 at UFC 166 in Houston.

Welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre defends his title on November 16 at UFC 167 against hard-hitting Johny Hendricks in Las Vegas. And 205-pound champion Jon Jones defends against Alexander Gustafsson on September 21 at UFC 165 in Toronto.
